On the 1st July 2006 European Directive RoHS (restriction of hazardous substances) will be enforced through European Community. It restricts the use of some substances within electrical and electronic equipment. Due to this fact, since the beginning of 2005 JM elektronik has been adding to their offer RoHS compliant components. Most of non-RoHS compliant parts will be discontinued and exchanged with new lead-free equivalents. We are going to offer full range of RoHS compliant components at the beginning of 2006 to give our customers early access to the directive compliant raw materials. Of course availability of RoHS compliant parts depends on their manufacturers too.

Bearin in mind that mixing of compliant and non-compliant parts can be very dangerous for finished products quality, we crated an advanced system of controling and marking of components in our warehouse. During the period of transition we carefully inspect all incoming deliveries. In our warehouse we track every lot so we easily know which parts are RoHS compliant, and which are not.

Line items which are RoHS compliant in our warehouse (whole available quantity) are indicated with , parts which are available both RoHS compliant and non-RoHS compliant are indicated with . If not indicated with any of above - parts in our warehouse are non-RoHS compliant.
